BON VOYAGE BRENDA
It is with heavy heart we are saying good-bye to Brenda. She is off to Calgary with her husband to start a new chapter in her life. Brenda has been part of Team Bibby since its conception, over 16 years! She has brightened the days of our staff and our patients with her smile and caring nature. She always has a way of providing whatever the patients need. She is a valued co worker and amazing friend. We are excited for your new adventure but so sad to see you go. Good luck Bren in your new life :) Maybe your life will come full circle, which will bring you back to TEAM BIBBY. We can only hope....We'll miss you.
Dr. Bibby's 4th Annual Food Drive 2012
Finding out out the Salvation Army has closed its doors at this time of year because it has no food donations in stock has facilitated an early start to our annual food drive. For the last four years, our holiday food drive has been helping to provide local Kootenay families with healthy meal choices and as you know, every little bit helps. The need has never been greater than it is this year and we really appreciate all those who are willing to give! Some great examples of donations could be a box of cereal, granola bars, instant oatmeal, canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, jam, tuna, dried beans, lentils, soup, pasta noodles and pasta sauce. All donations will go directly to a local organization who will be distributing the goods throughout the community. If you would prefer to make a cash donation in lieu of a food item we will make sure the Food Bank receives your donation. To reward your generosity, those who donate will be entered into our draw and be eligible for the following prizes:
1st Prize: Phillips Sonicare electric toothbrush
2nd Prize: 50 Points on your Rewards Card
3rd Prize: 25 Points on your Rewards Card
OCTOBER is National Orthodontic Health Month
In addition to Halloween of course. TEAM BIBBY is reminding you to watch out for tempting treats that are not "braces friendly". Please try to avoid sticky treats like gum, carmels and gummies. Also, watch out for hard candies like suckers, if you bite down on them, can cause breakage of your braces. If you don't have a nut allergy, peanut butter cups is a great alternative. You could trade your candy to your non-braces friends or freeze it and save it for when your braces come off. Only one broken bracket can slow your treatment down meaning you could have your braces on for months more than planned. You don't want that and neither do we. What we do want, is for you to have a safe and fun Halloween :)

Winner of Name that Sailboat
"S.S. WHITE CAP" by Alexander was the winning name for our Name that Sailboat contest. Alexander won a Sonicare toothbrush! Runners up were Kaylin and Reegan who also earned points on their Smile Rewards cards. Great job you guys and thank you to all that entered the contest. TEAM BUILDING - Vancouver September 2011
Team building is an integral part of a successful practice. Dr. Bibby took her staff to Vancouver in September for the PCSO (Pacific Coastal Society of Orthodontists) conference. It was 2 full days of lectures and courses in how to better our practice. Everything from new technical advancements to building the perfect team (ours is already pretty great :) These courses are not only required for us to keep our licensure current but so important to be up to date with changing orthodontic technology.

KIDS CLUB
We have a Kids Club! This exclusive club is open to patients of Dr. Bibby's that are 12 and under. If you sign up for the club, you get a great T-shirt that was designed by our own patients, a member certificate and become eligible for Kids Club only contests that will be offered throughout the year. All of our club members get their photo on the wall-of-fame.

Dr. Bibby's Smile Rewards Program
Our swipe card program is so cool! Patients are issued a card
(like above) and an account will be created for that patient.This
account can be accessed with a user name and password anytime by
the patient to check their point balance, upload a profile picture and view
rewards. The card can be swiped to earn points for many more categories
than we previously had before. These points can be redeemed on-line for a
